The Studio

HXC was founded in 2012 (PT) in Porto by the architect Henrique Xavier CAMPOS, operating between the micro and macro scales, exploring and developing buildings, outdoor spaces, and interior atmospheres.

Established in 2016 (FR), the agency relocated to the south of France and is now based in Montpellier, operating between Perpignan and Marseille.

HXC architecture engages in projects at various scales and across multiple domains. It is a multidisciplinary, dynamic, young, and passionate agency.

For each project, whether it involves new construction or renovation, the studio collaborates with one or more local partners as needed. Creativity, functionality, customization, and organization are the guiding principles in space creation.

Each environment is a void that can be modified or created, so we approach each project uniquely. Initial conversations with the client are always a crucial step, informing and enriching our design response for the best possible result. We also place extreme importance on context and site analysis before any design process. This analysis leads to a deeper understanding of the place that supports the design of space, structure, and function.

We advocate for long-term thinking, reuse, recycling, and innovation so that proposals can have enduring beauty and function. Whether it's a large structure or a temporary small house, it should last for future requirements.
